Case Studies

This Apprenticeship is designed to teach learners the basic skills and competencies required for warehouse work.

 

At level 2 this Apprenticeship will seek to guide the learner through all areas of work within the warehouse .

This will involve the undertaking of a range of duties including:

  • working alone or in a team
  • managing stock and audit inventories
  • loading/unloading of vehicles
  • recognising the need to store different goods at different temperatures and at different heights
  • maintaining the safety of hazardous goods and materials
  • selecting and packing customer orders
  • processing returned goods
  • ensuring goods are ready for dispatch on time.
  • and, of course, learning and maintaining good Health & Safety practices, at all times.


Other duties may include operating handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet trucks, for which specific training can be arranged.
